 | Near the city of Ayodhya, is a small lovely village named Chhappaiya. Surrounding the village are forests, densely populated with trees such as pipda, mangoes, tamarind, guavas and almond trees. In all four directions of the town, there are forests of tamarind trees where the atmosphere is filled with melodious voices of Koyal, Mena, Devchakli, parrots and peacocks. Because of small alleys, temples and storey floors, the whole village is well known. In the Samvant year 1837, the month of Chaitra sud on the ninth day (Monday 2/4/1781) at 10.00 p.m, children were dancing with joy outside the house of Dharmadev. | |

 | | Many ladies were singing songs in praise of Lord while moving towards the house of Dharmadev with Kumkum, Gulab, Phoolmala and silky material in their plates with joy. There was a big crowd outside the house. Outside in the yagnashala, Brahmins were chanting mantras with great pleasure. Whereas Dharmadev was distributing ornaments, clothes and cows to Brahmins, beggars and saints. Glowing lamps, tuneful drumbeats and trumpets surrounded the house. But why all this happiness? Their happiness was because Lord Narayan had given presence as a child in the home of Dharmadev and Bhaktimata, The light glowed from the Lord’s body illuminating the whole house. Everyone was astonished on seeing the brightness. | | | |

 | | | The Devas were having a sight of Dharmadev’s son while sitting in their sky boats. There was a downpour of flowers and chandan from the sky and the whole atmosphere was filled with echoes of “Jay Jay Jay!!!”

Every man and women came to the house of Dharmadev with their tears full of joy for the glimpse of God. The house of Dharmadev became a place of pilgrimage. They all celebrated the birth of Ghanshyam. The people danced and sang:

"Dharma ghera Anand bhayo, Jay bolo Ghanshyam ki.....
Chapaiya me Lal bhayo, Jay bolo Ghanshyam ki.....
Bhakta ke Bhagwan bhayo, Jay bolo Ghanshyam ki.....
Hathi Ghoda Palkhi, Jay bolo Ghanshyam ki....."
